CALL FOR PRESENTERS
NAFCC is currently seeking workshop proposals for the 31st National Family Child Care Conference, taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana from July 7-10, 2021.
We are thrilled to invite workshop proposals that focus on family child care providers and the many qualities that make family child care unique to early care and education.This year’s conference theme is “Hitting a High Note”, focusing on celebrating all the success family child care providers have achieved and the instrumental piece they play in the early childhood landscape.
Attendees are looking for sessions that focus on practical solutions to increase their knowledge and effectiveness; to engage and challenge their thinking; and to nurture their purpose, creativity, and professional excellence. We invite presenters to focus their content for the various roles in family child care, such as:
- Family child care providers
- Early Head Start community
- Child nutrition community
- Coaches, mentors, and trainers
- Family child care networks
- State agencies
Many conference attendees have a strong background in family child care and we encourage a program with many advanced level workshops.
We encourage Spanish speaking presentations and hope to have a variety of sessions in Spanish throughout the conference.
Workshops will be offered Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, July 8-10, 2021. All workshops will be 90 minutes. Due to the expected capacity limitations caused by COVID-19, selected presenters will most likely be expected to present workshops twice on the same day to accommodate adjusted conference schedules. Presenters may also be asked to record workshops for virtual conference attendees.
The submission deadline for all workshops is February 1, 2021.
Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by April 1, 2021.
Primary presenters and one co-presenter per workshop will receive complimentary registration to the conference. Additional co-presenters will need to register for the conference at regular conference rates.
NAFCC is pleased to offer all presenters a screen and projector. All other audiovisual (AV) equipment (including laptops, speakers, and internet) will be the presenter’s responsibility.
