All Membership (Membresía) levels have the following benefits: voting at our annual General Meeting, a subscription to our newsletter, The Grapevine, and member rate on training and conference registration fees.

Chapter Educators and Co-Educators will also be eligible to apply for scholarships for our FFCCHA training, conference, and the Leadership Summit.

FCC Providers who join their local FFCCHA chapter and have NAFCC membership (see Premium options below) will also be eligible to apply for NAFCC accreditation scholarships.

FFCCHA is a state affiliate of our national organization – National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC). All FFCCHA members can join NAFCC through FFCCHA at a discounted rate. See the FFCCHA Premium memberships!

Educator/Provider memberships below:

  • Member (FFCCHA)
    A person who owns and operates a registered Florida Licensed or Registered Family Child Care Home.
  • Co-Educator (FFCCHA) – A person who works 40 hours or more per month in a Licensed or Registered Family Child Care home.

Non Educator/Provider memberships below:

  • Alumni (FFCCHA)– A former family child care provider/educator member of FFCCHA (retired or changed profession)
  • Advocate (FFCCHA) – A supporter of family child care homes, past parent, an employee of an agency, coalition or college, or substitute/employee who works less than 40 hours in the FCC home.
  • Parent (FFCCHA) – A current parent of a child that is enrolled in a regulated FCC home.
  • Agency or Business (FFCCHA) – A business, agency, or corporation that wants to support the Family Child Care providers as early care educators.

Utilizing Effective Mentoring Strategies

This highly interactive training is designed to strengthen your confidence, consistency, and effectiveness as a mentor while providing practical strategies you can immediately use during your mentoring visits for achieving NAFCC accreditation.
In the Training you will learn how to effectively:

Develop and use practical observation checklists
Identify program strengths and opportunities for growth
Assess and strengthen the indoor and outdoor learning environments
Create individualized action plans
Establish realistic and measurable outcomes
Provide constructive and supportive feedback
Facilitate meaningful coaching conversations
Ask intentional questions that encourage self-reflection
Prioritize needs and establish achievable next steps
Create a clear roadmap from observation to action and measurable improvement
Connect the four key areas of the FFCCHA project system to observation, documentation, coaching, and follow-up
Conduct a structured four-hour mock observation visit
