Beyond Behaviors: Inclusive Support for Children with Unique Abilities and Strengths

Presented by: Shannon Estrin, Behavior Health Coach

Join us for an empowering workshop focused on supporting children with unique abilities and high-energy needs. This training will provide practical, strength-based strategies to better understand and embrace each child’s “superpowers,” creating inclusive environments where all children can thrive. Explore strategies such as using sensory supports to help regulate energy levels and implementing clear visual routines to promote understanding and independence. This workshop will strengthen your skills and deepen your commitment to meeting the diverse needs of every child in your care.

About the Presenter:
Shannon Estrin is a proud California native and a passionate mental health clinician currently serving at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. In his role, Shannon develops and implements therapeutic intervention plans for individuals facing depression, suicidal ideation, and major life transitions. With a strong foundation in behavioral health, Shannon is deeply committed to the intersection of behavioral management, inclusion, and mental health synergy—particularly in team leadership and healthcare settings where these conversations are often underrepresented or overlooked.

A major focus of Shannon’s work involves supporting children with what he affectionately refers to as “super powers”—including autism, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, stroke recovery, and other unique developmental needs. He brings an empathetic, strength-based approach to helping youth and families thrive within clinical and community environments.

Through speaking engagements, workshops, and hands-on care, Shannon strives to amplify underrepresented voices, advocate for equity, and build inclusive systems that honor the full potential of every individual. Website:inclusivevision42.org
