Conflict Resolution and How to Have Tough Conversations
Presented by: Angela Chowning
FCC educators will gain insight into the root causes of conflicts in the day-to-day family child care operations and how to resolve them when they arise. The content will also focus on becoming self-aware of your triggers, developing empathy for another, pre-empting conflict by creating clear policies, and executing tough conversations when necessary.
About the Presenter:
Angela Chowning has been in the childcare industry for 36 years, most of those years in the childcare regulation arena. Most currently, she works for the Quality Early Education System (QEES), a grant-funded program through the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, whose sole purpose is to support childcare providers in our county. She has also presented at several early childhood conferences, including the One Goal Conference, the McCormick Center for Early Learning’s Leadership Conference, and the National Association for Regulatory Administration’s annual conference.

Registration Fee: $40
$30 scholarships available for FL Registered OR Licensed family child care provider members OR co-provider FFCCHA members.

In order to receive a Training Certificate, you must:
- Submit your payment online.
- Be present for the entire training session.
- Submit the registration form via mail or email it to: training@familychildcare.org. by August 3, 2024.
- Complete and submit an evaluation after the training.
