Tax Essentials for Family Child Care Educators

This session will break down the tax essentials childcare educators need to stay organized, protect their income, and file with confidence. We will cover simple, real-world recordkeeping, common deductions, time-space percentage (and the mistakes that can cost you), and planning ahead for estimated and self-employment taxes. We will also talk about sustainability, including why paying yourself matters and how separating business and personal finances can keep your program strong long-term.

She is a Florida-licensed CPA with over 23 years of experience in accounting and finance. She provides tax preparation and advisory services for individuals and small businesses and offers training on business setup, internal controls, and QuickBooks support.

Registration Fee: $40
$30 scholarships available for FL Registered OR Licensed family child care provider members OR co-provider FFCCHA members.
In order to receive a Training Certificate, you must:
- Submit your payment online.
- Be present for the entire training session.
- Submit the registration form via mail or email it to: scholarship@familychildcare.
org by March 9, 2026. - Complete and submit an evaluation after the training.
