There’s No “I” in TEAM! Keynote: Patricia Dischler, FCC Experts
To build a strong association that successfully represents and supports family childcare home educators across the state, it’s going to take a monumental effort by a strong team. You are likely one of many strong individuals in the association, with creative solutions, passion for the work, and an eye for what’s possible in the future. When all of these strong individuals come together to form a team, to lead FFCCHA into its future, that team has the potential to achieve every goal they can envision. But being strong doesn’t mean strong-arming others towards your will. It means having the skill and strength to be patient, open to new ideas, problem-solve, listen, and collaborate. Join us in this session of team building and bringing out the best in others to be your best self. We’ll tackle big goals for FFCCHA as a team, discuss and develop plans for growing leadership in the association, and experience the excitement of being a part of a winning team!
Also: Advocacy by Tasheba Berry and Member Potential by Joselly Santos

- Keynote: “Leaders Are Made…Followers are Born” Presented by Adrienne Donaldson, B.S. EEC, NAFCC Accredited Large FCCH, FFCCHA Certified Mentor and Coach. Effective leadership starts from the moment we are born. The saying, “Leaders are Born” is most certainly untrue. Leaders are molded, formed, and shaped by life experiences, life teachers, and life lessons that we face throughout our lives. How we use this information and data is what helps create the leader we grow into. We will explore how leaders are made and how the environment plays a significant part in the type of leader we develop into. We will discuss how leaders are made versus being born and how to use these skills and knowledge to grow our abilities as leaders. This will be explained using the analogy of a car engine, which represents you as a leader. We will explore the seven essential liquids to make an engine operate efficiently, represented as the qualities we must develop to be an effective leader. You must submit a registration form, payment and an online Evaluation to receive a training certificate.
February 27, 2021 – (Registration Deadline: February 24, 2021)
- Keynote: “Effective Leadership in the 21st Century” Presented by Angelica Norton, Professional Trainer and Coach As organizations and businesses meet the challenges of new technologies, the need to build relationships in the workplace and communicate effectively becomes a challenge, that can sometimes result in misunderstandings. This training will examine the conditions of effective leadership and managing healthy relationships. We will gain a deep insight of how to manage healthy relationships, how to build trust with your colleagues and team members, and how to identify one’s personal communication style. This training will take leadership and give it an innovative shift for the new century and our ever-changing society.

LOSS is a Four-letter Word! Hours: 2
Each person has experienced some form of loss during their lifetime. Whatever type of loss you’ve suffered, there’s no right or wrong way to feel about it. But having clarity on the types of losses we experience and the range of emotions that can be experienced can help us identify healthier ways to cope. While clarity in this area of loss is important to us, it also enhances our professional role and sometimes personal role as a caregiver or support person to children and families we serve. While these tools are intended to help participants improve their resiliency, many of these elements can help you to empower others who are seeking to find their way after loss, whether it is a friend, a parent or a child. Our response to loss, can shape our behaviors, our willingness to learn and grow and can impact our personal relationships. Increase your wellbeing and gain tools that increase your insight and help to increase your tools to aid in building resilience for people in your life.
